The RiverCOG Regional Agriculture Council meets this Thursday evening at 7pm at RiverCOG, 145 Dennison Road in Centerbrook.  There’ll be a CT Farm Energy discussion with Amanda Fargo-Johnson of CT RC&D out of Haddam.

The Connecticut Farm Energy Program was started in May 2009 as a partnership between the USDA Rural Development and the Connecticut Resource Conservation & Development Area, Inc. as a pilot program that provided Ag Producers and Ag Based Small Business in New London and Windham Counties with Grant Writing Assistance to apply for USDA Rural Development Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grants. CT Farm Energy program also serves as a resource on energy as it relates to agriculture in Connecticut.
